The Cru-Class Viré-Clessé vineyards are planted in chardonnay grapes, and cover 430 hectares from Montbellet in the north to Laizé in the south.
Our wine-growers use their expertise in both the cellar and the vineyard, and their work is determined by the seasons.
Our wines have a pale golden color and are brilliant and limpid to the eye. The nose has notes of ripe peach, apricot, white flower, acacia, and citronella. They are tender, unctuous, and fruity on the palate, while also containing the typical minerality of a Mâconnais wine. Viré-Clessé’s complexity stems from its agreeable acidity on the palate, strengthened by the rich flavor of mature grapes. This combination of fruit and minerality is Viré-Clessé’s strongest point.
